Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anti-SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccine is a preclinical-stage vaccine candidate developed by Flag Bio for the prevention of COVID-19. The vaccine utilizes synthetic mRNA technology to encode SARS-CoV-2 antigens, which are expressed in host cells to stimulate a protective immune response. A distinguishing feature of Flag Bio's platform is the potential co-administration with Flag-711, a proprietary synthetic mRNA adjuvant that encodes a flagellin protein to act as a Toll-like receptor 5 (TLR5) agonist. This combination is intended to enhance the magnitude and duration of the immune response. Flag Bio is also exploring alternative delivery routes through partnerships in mRNA formulation technology.
