Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-SDCBP IgG4 is a recombinant monoclonal antibody of the IgG4 subclass designed to target Syntenin-1, a protein encoded by the SDCBP gene. Syntenin-1 acts as a scaffold protein involved in exosome biogenesis, syndecan signaling, and cancer cell metastasis. This antibody was identified as a naturally occurring, protective autoantibody in patients with endometriosis and ovarian cancer. By binding to Syntenin-1, the antibody inhibits its pro-tumorigenic functions, thereby antagonizing malignant progression. It is being explored as a potential immunotherapy for ovarian carcinoma and other Syntenin-1-overexpressing tumors.
