anti-SIGLEC10 antibody

The anti-SIGLEC10 antibody is an investigational monoclonal antibody targeting SIGLEC10, a protein exclusively and abundantly expressed in microglia within the brain. Genome-wide association studies have linked polymorphisms in Siglec genes, including SIGLEC10, to late-onset Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). In AD brains, SIGLEC10 mRNA is elevated near Aβ plaques and progressively increases with tauopathy. Preclinical studies in transgenic mice expressing human SIGLEC10 demonstrated that treatment with the anti-SIGLEC10 antibody significantly reduced both pTau aggregates and Aβ plaques, suggesting a causal relationship between SIGLEC10 and AD pathogenesis. This antibody is being explored as a potential therapeutic agent for Alzheimer's Disease.
