anti-siglecf antibody

Anti-SiglecF antibody is a monoclonal antibody directed against Siglec-F, a sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin primarily expressed on mouse eosinophils. The antibody works by engaging and cross-linking Siglec-F on eosinophils, leading to induction of apoptosis and depletion of eosinophils in vivo and in vitro. Siglec-F is the closest functional paralog of human Siglec-8, which is also a target for anti-eosinophil therapies. Studies in mice demonstrate that administration of anti-SiglecF antibody results in a rapid and significant decrease in blood and tissue eosinophils via selective induction of eosinophil cell death, supporting potential therapeutic applications in mouse models of eosinophil-associated diseases. This antibody is primarily a research and preclinical tool in murine disease models, not a clinical drug for humans[1][12].
