Overview

Anti-SIRPα (P84) is a rat monoclonal antibody (IgG1 isotype) that specifically targets mouse Signal-Regulatory Protein α (SIRPα), also known as CD172a or SHPS-1. SIRPα is an inhibitory receptor expressed on macrophages and myeloid cells that interacts with CD47 on tumor cells to deliver a "don't eat me" signal. By blocking the CD47–SIRPα signaling axis, P84 enhances macrophage-mediated phagocytosis of tumor cells and boosts innate anti-tumor immunity. It is primarily utilized as a preclinical research tool to study the modulation of the innate immune system in cancer models, such as renal cell carcinoma and melanoma. P84 is commercially available from reagent suppliers like Bio X Cell and Creative Biolabs but has not entered clinical development as a therapeutic agent.
