Drug intelligence / Profile preview
anti-SIRPα antibody (clone 6F2) is a high-affinity, agonistic monoclonal antibody that targets mouse signal regulatory protein alpha (SIRPα). Developed by Genentech, this antibody is used in preclinical research to investigate the therapeutic potential of SIRPα receptor agonism in chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease (colitis), and cardiac allograft rejection. By binding to SIRPα, clone 6F2 induces receptor phosphorylation and downstream inhibitory signaling, which suppresses myeloid cell activation, reduces neutrophil and monocyte chemotaxis, and inhibits their migration and infiltration into inflamed tissues.
