Anti-Staphylococcus aureus ostrich antibody emulsion is a topical biologic therapy developed by Zeal Cosmetics for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. The formulation contains polyclonal immunoglobulin Y (IgY) antibodies extracted from the egg yolks of ostriches that have been immunized against *Staphylococcus aureus*. In patients with atopic dermatitis, *S. aureus* colonization is a major driver of skin inflammation and barrier dysfunction. By topically applying these antibodies, the drug aims to specifically neutralize *S. aureus* and its toxins on the skin surface, thereby reducing inflammatory triggers and restoring the skin's natural microbiome balance without the use of traditional antibiotics. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials as an adjunctive treatment for patients with treatment-resistant lesions, including those already receiving systemic therapies like dupilumab.
