Overview

Aoliding is a passive immunotherapy agent consisting of egg yolk antibodies (IgY) specifically targeting *Streptococcus mutans*, the primary causative agent of dental caries. Developed in collaboration with or studied by Zhejiang University, it is designed to prevent dental caries by inhibiting the adhesion and colonization of cariogenic bacteria on tooth surfaces. By binding to bacterial antigens such as glucosyltransferases (GTFs) and protein antigen c (PAc), the IgY antibodies disrupt biofilm formation and reduce the acidogenic potential of the oral microbiota. It is typically administered topically as a spray, rinse, or incorporated into dental products and is being evaluated in clinical trials for its efficacy in preschool children.
