Drug intelligence / Profile preview
An anti-TCR antibody is a monoclonal antibody designed to target the T-cell receptor (TCR) complex on T lymphocytes. By binding to the TCR, these antibodies can modulate T-cell activation, induce T-cell depletion, or downregulate the TCR/CD3 complex to suppress unwanted immune responses. In preclinical and clinical settings, anti-TCR antibodies are investigated for their immunomodulatory potential in autoimmune diseases, such as type 1 diabetes, and as induction therapy to prevent graft rejection in organ transplantation. They are also being explored as targeting moieties in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and bispecific T-cell engagers (TCEs) for T-cell malignancies.
