Overview

Anti-TMEM180 monoclonal antibody is a humanized biologic therapeutic agent targeting Transmembrane Protein 180 (TMEM180), an 11-pass transmembrane protein that functions as a cation symporter. TMEM180 is highly expressed in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells and tumor-derived exosomes, especially under hypoxic conditions, but is rarely found in normal tissues. Developed by researchers at the National Cancer Center Hospital East in Japan, this antibody demonstrates potent antitumor activity through antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) and complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC). In preclinical models, it has shown the ability to eradicate SW480 colorectal cancer xenografts, making it a promising candidate for targeted CRC therapy.
