anti-TNF-alpha siRNA (Altamira Therapeutics) is an investigational RNA interference (RNAi) therapy designed to treat a broad range of inflammatory conditions by silencing the gene for tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α). Developed by Altamira Therapeutics, the drug consists of a small interfering RNA (siRNA) that targets and promotes the degradation of TNF-α messenger RNA (mRNA) after transcription. By specifically preventing the synthesis of the TNF-α protein, a key proinflammatory cytokine, the therapy aims to mitigate the inflammatory cascade at its source.
