Overview

Staidson Biopharmaceutical is developing an anti-TrkB agonist monoclonal antibody for the treatment of depression. This therapeutic candidate is designed to mimic the activity of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) by binding to and activating the Tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) receptor. Activation of the BDNF/TrkB signaling pathway is associated with neurotrophic effects and antidepressant activity, potentially offering a novel mechanism for managing mood disorders. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
