Overview

Anti-TSHR (Viridian Therapeutics) is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody designed to target the thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR). Developed by Viridian Therapeutics (formerly associated with VeridianHealth), the antibody is intended for the treatment of Thyroid Eye Disease (TED), an autoimmune condition characterized by inflammation and expansion of orbital tissues. The mechanism of action involves binding to TSHR on orbital fibroblasts to block its activation by autoantibodies (thyroid-stimulating immunoglobulins), thereby inhibiting the downstream signaling pathways that lead to the clinical manifestations of TED. This approach aims to provide a direct therapeutic intervention at the receptor level, potentially serving as a monotherapy or in combination with IGF-1R inhibitors.
