Overview

Perseus Therapeutics is developing an anti-TSLP (thymic stromal lymphopoietin) neutralizing monoclonal antibody primarily for the prevention of chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA). By blocking TSLP-mediated signaling, the antibody aims to prevent hair cycle arrest caused by chemotherapy-induced cytotoxicity. Beyond CIA, the therapy is being explored for non-chemotherapy-related alopecia and as an adjuvant treatment for breast cancer, where TSLP has been implicated in promoting tumor growth and metastasis. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage and is designed for topical, subcutaneous, or intravenous administration. Perseus Therapeutics is a Duke University spinout founded in 2023.
