Overview

Antigen-specific IgT cells are an investigational autologous cell therapy developed by the Shenzhen Geno-Immune Medical Institute for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). The therapy consists of a patient's own T cells that have been genetically modified to recognize specific GBM tumor antigens and to express immune modulatory genes, such as those encoding immune checkpoint inhibitors. This dual-modality approach is designed to directly target and eliminate tumor cells while simultaneously modulating the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment to enhance the anti-tumor immune response. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials (e.g., NCT03170141) for patients with recurrent GBM, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), and diffuse midline glioma (DMG), often following lymphodepleting chemotherapy.
