Overview

A combination immunosuppressive therapy consisting of antithymocyte globulin (ATG), rituximab, mycophenolate mofetil, and tacrolimus. This regimen targets multiple components of the immune system: ATG depletes T cells, rituximab targets B cells by binding to CD20, mycophenolate mofetil inhibits inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase to prevent lymphocyte proliferation, and tacrolimus inhibits calcineurin to prevent T-cell activation. The combination provides comprehensive immunosuppression used primarily in transplantation medicine to prevent graft rejection and graft-versus-host disease, as well as in the treatment of certain autoimmune conditions.
