Overview
Antitumor B, also known as Zeng Sheng Ping (ZSP), is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) botanical formulation composed of six medicinal herbs: *Sophora tonkinensis*, *Polygonum bistorta*, *Prunella vulgaris*, *Sonchus arvensis*, *Dictamnus dasycarpus*, and *Dioscorea bulbifera*. It has been primarily investigated for its chemopreventive potential in esophageal and oral squamous cell carcinomas. The formulation is believed to exert its effects through multiple mechanisms, including the inhibition of cell proliferation, induction of apoptosis, and modulation of inflammatory pathways. Clinical research, including Phase 0 and Phase II trials, has evaluated its pharmacokinetics and efficacy in reducing the progression of precancerous lesions to invasive cancer.
