Antivenin against Vipera russelli siamensis is a biological therapeutic developed by Shanghai Sailon Biotechnology for the treatment of envenomation caused by the Eastern Russell's viper (*Daboia siamensis*, formerly *Vipera russelli siamensis*). The product consists of purified antibodies or antibody fragments (typically F(ab')2) obtained from the plasma of horses immunized with the specific snake venom. These antibodies bind to and neutralize the various toxic components of the venom, such as phospholipase A2, proteases, and procoagulants, thereby preventing or reversing systemic toxicity, coagulopathy, and local tissue damage. It is currently in Phase 3 clinical development in China to evaluate its efficacy and safety in patients bitten by Russell's vipers.
