Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Yinma Antiviral Granules is a Chinese Patent Medicine (CPM) developed by Jiangxi Wanji Pharmaceutical, primarily indicated for the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, including acute pharyngitis and acute catarrhal tonsillitis. The formulation is an oral granule composed of ten traditional Chinese medicinal herbs: *Lonicera japonica* (honeysuckle), *Forsythia suspensa*, *Isatis indigotica* (woad root), *Gypsum Fibrosum*, *Anemarrhena asphodeloides*, *Lycium chinense*, *Rehmannia glutinosa*, *Phragmites communis*, *Pogostemon cablin*, and *Acorus tatarinowii*. These ingredients are traditionally recognized for their heat-clearing and detoxifying properties. The drug works through a multi-target mechanism, exhibiting broad-spectrum antiviral activity against respiratory viruses and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-alpha and IL-6. It is widely used in clinical practice in China to alleviate symptoms like fever, sore throat, and inflammation associated with viral infections.
