Antox

Antox is a multi-ingredient antioxidant supplement manufactured by the Arab Drug Company (ADCO) in Egypt. It is formulated as a combination of selenium, beta-carotene (a precursor to Vitamin A), ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), and alpha-tocopherol (Vitamin E). In clinical research, particularly at institutions like Ain Shams University, it has been evaluated as an adjuvant therapy for conditions associated with oxidative stress, such as immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). The supplement aims to neutralize free radicals, reduce lipid peroxidation, and improve the oxidant/antioxidant balance, which may help preserve cell membrane integrity and extend the lifespan of platelets in ITP patients. Each tablet typically contains 50 mcg of selenium, 26.64 mg of beta-carotene, 100 mg of Vitamin C, and 30 mg of Vitamin E.
