Overview

Anumigilimab (formerly known as CSL324) is a fully human recombinant monoclonal antibody that targets the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor receptor (G-CSFR). By binding to G-CSFR, it acts as an antagonist and neutralizes the activity of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), thereby reducing G-CSF-driven mobilization and recruitment of neutrophils. This mechanism is hypothesized to reduce inflammation by inhibiting neutrophil migration and activation. Anumigilimab has been investigated primarily for inflammatory conditions such as hidradenitis suppurativa, with additional research interest in diseases like cystic fibrosis, inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, and COVID-19. The drug was originally developed by MuriGen Therapeutics and Zenyth Therapeutics and is currently being developed by CSL Behring[1][2][3][4][5].
