Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Anvirzel is an aqueous extract of the plant Nerium oleander that contains cardiac glycosides (primarily oleandrin and oleandrigenin), polysaccharides, triterpenes, and other plant-derived compounds. It has been developed as a potential treatment for cancer and has shown anti-proliferative effects against various cancer cell lines. Studies indicate it may be particularly effective when combined with cisplatin, even at low concentrations.
