ANXV infrared conjugate

ANXV infrared conjugate (ANXV-800CW) is an investigational near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent imaging agent developed by Annexin Pharmaceuticals. It consists of recombinant human Annexin A5 (ANXV) covalently conjugated to the near-infrared fluorescent dye IRDye 800CW. ANXV-800CW is designed to target and bind with high affinity to phosphatidylserine (PS), a phospholipid that is externalized on the surface of apoptotic cells, activated platelets, and damaged vascular endothelial cells. In clinical settings, such as the SIGHT study, ANXV-800CW is administered intravenously to visualize and assess real-time binding to affected retinal vessels in patients with retinal vein occlusion (RVO) and diabetic retinopathy using near-infrared ophthalmic imaging. This diagnostic tool helps confirm target engagement and provides insights into the pathophysiology of retinal vascular diseases.
