ANY-005

ANY-005 is an investigational oral peptide developed by Anya Biopharm for the treatment of achondroplasia. It is designed to target the fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3), a protein that plays a critical role in bone growth. In individuals with achondroplasia, mutations in the FGFR3 gene cause the receptor to be overactive, which inhibits normal bone development. ANY-005 aims to modulate or inhibit this overactive signaling to restore proper chondrocyte proliferation and bone growth. As an oral peptide, ANY-005 represents a potentially more convenient therapeutic option compared to current injectable treatments for growth disorders. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
