Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aom0777 is a new-generation, ultra-short-acting sedative anesthetic drug developed by Aomo. It features an innovative molecular structure and is designed for procedural sedation and anesthesia in various endoscopic procedures (including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, hysteroscopy, fibreoptic bronchoscopy), as well as for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in hospitalized surgical patients and sedation in the ICU. Aom0777 demonstrates rapid onset and recovery with minimal risk of accumulation even after prolonged use. Compared to currently marketed sedative anesthetics, it offers improved safety with less impact on hemodynamics and respiratory depression, along with a wider therapeutic window. Preclinical studies have validated its druggability; pre-IND studies were expected to be completed by Q1 2024 with IND applications planned for China and the US[6].
