AP-301

AP-301 is a hemoglobin-based oxygen carrier (HBOC) developed by Bios Biotechnology for both human and veterinary applications. It is composed of chemically stabilized hemoglobin polymers designed to provide oxygen delivery support in various ischemic or hypoxic conditions. When infused into the bloodstream, these molecules circulate in the plasma to carry oxygen and facilitate the release of oxygen from native red blood cells, thereby improving oxygen diffusion to poorly perfused tissues. AP-301 is currently in the preclinical development stage, where it is being investigated for a broad range of indications including anemia, hemorrhagic shock, pulmonary fibrosis, tumor sensitization, and cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases.
