Overview

AP-SA02 is Armata Pharmaceuticals' investigational, intravenously administered fixed multi-bacteriophage cocktail for use as an adjunct to best available antibiotic therapy in complicated *Staphylococcus aureus* bacteremia, including infections caused by methicillin-sensitive and methicillin-resistant strains. Its lytic phages selectively infect *S. aureus*, replicate within susceptible bacterial cells, and lyse them; the product is intended to provide activity distinct from and potentially synergistic with antibiotics, including against established biofilms. The completed Phase 1b/2a diSArm study supported advancement planning toward a pivotal Phase 3 superiority study, which Armata continued to describe as anticipated to initiate in the second half of 2026.
