AP405 is an investigational oromucosal immunotherapy being developed by Allero Therapeutics for the treatment of peanut allergy. It is the lead candidate utilizing the company's proprietary Specific Oro-Mucosal Immunotherapy (SOMit) platform, which delivers peanut allergens via a fast-dissolving formulation directly to the immune-rich tissues of the oral mucosa. This approach is designed to induce immunological tolerance by promoting the expansion of regulatory T-cells (Tregs) and shifting the immune response away from the pro-allergic Th2 pathway.
