Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AP747 (apelin-F13A-NODAGA) is a peptide-based PET radiotracer precursor designed to target the APJ receptor (apelin receptor), which is overexpressed in tissues undergoing pathological angiogenesis and cell proliferation. When radiolabeled with gallium-68 to form [68Ga]Ga-AP747, it serves as a diagnostic imaging agent for detecting, measuring, and monitoring angiogenesis and vasculogenesis in conditions such as cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (ischemic stroke), hindlimb ischemia, and colon adenocarcinoma. Developed by Aix-Marseille University, INSERM, and Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Marseille, [68Ga]Ga-AP747 has demonstrated high radiochemical purity, excellent serum stability, and superior target-to-background ratio compared to traditional integrin-targeting tracers like [68Ga]Ga-RGD2 in preclinical models.
