Drug intelligence / Profile preview
APA Immuno-Liposome (AIL) is a preclinical-stage fusogenic immunoliposome platform being developed by APA Advanced Technologies for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). The platform is designed to selectively bind to cancer cells and fuse with the tumor-cell membrane, subsequently displaying a humanized anti-CD3 antibody on the cell surface. This display of anti-CD3 recruits and activates human T cells directly at the tumor site, triggering a localized immune response against the cancer cells. Preclinical in vitro studies are focused on characterizing the components of the AIL immunoliposome and evaluating its activity using T cells from healthy blood donors and TNBC patients.
