Drug intelligence / Profile preview
APAC is a first-in-class heparin proteoglycan mimetic biologic developed by Aplagon. It exhibits dual antiplatelet, anticoagulant, and anti-inflammatory effects. The drug is designed for localized action at vascular injury sites to reduce systemic bleeding risk, targeting activated endothelium, its adhesion molecules, and subendothelial matrix proteins. It is being developed for thrombo-inflammatory diseases, peripheral arterial occlusive disease/chronic limb threatening ischemia (PAOD/CLTI), and to prevent vascular intervention-related blood vessel occlusions.
