A combination therapy of **apalutamide, abiraterone acetate, and leuprolide acetate** is used as an investigational or experimental regimen for the treatment of very high-risk or advanced prostate cancer. Apalutamide is an androgen receptor inhibitor, abiraterone acetate is a CYP17A1 inhibitor that blocks androgen biosynthesis, and leuprolide acetate is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist that suppresses testicular androgen production. This multidrug approach is being evaluated primarily for patients with high-risk or metastatic prostate cancer, and is being assessed in the context of combining with advanced radiotherapy regimens.[7]
