This is a combination regimen consisting of four agents: apatinib mesylate (also known as rivoceranib), cyclophosphamide, docetaxel, and epirubicin. Apatinib mesylate is an orally bioavailable small-molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), thereby inhibiting angiogenesis and tumor growth. Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent that interferes with DNA replication and transcription, leading to cell death. Docetaxel is a taxane-class chemotherapeutic that stabilizes microtubules and inhibits cell division. Epirubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic that intercalates into DNA, inhibiting topoisomerase II and generating free radicals to induce cytotoxicity. This combination may be used in investigational or off-label settings for advanced cancers where multi-agent chemotherapy plus antiangiogenic therapy may provide synergistic antitumor effects[1][3][6].
