Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Apatolimab + tovotulimumab is an investigational combination therapy, potentially administered as a bispecific antibody (Apatolimab-Tovotulimumab), targeting both the angiogenic and immune checkpoint pathways. Apatolimab is a humanized monoclonal antibody directed against the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), while tovotulimumab is a human monoclonal antibody targeting the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor. This combination is intended to treat advanced malignancies, specifically hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), by simultaneously inhibiting tumor vascularization and restoring T-cell mediated anti-tumor activity. It has been studied in clinical trial settings (e.g., ChiCTR2600123451) in combination with lenvatinib for patients who have progressed on standard-of-care PD-1 inhibitors and bevacizumab.
