Overview

APB-B001 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody being developed by APITBIO for the treatment of solid cancers. It is designed to target the L1 cell adhesion molecule (CD171/L1CAM) in combination with a second, undisclosed target. CD171 is a cell surface glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various aggressive solid tumors and is associated with poor prognosis, tumor cell migration, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). By simultaneously engaging CD171 and another target—potentially an immune checkpoint like PD-L1 or a growth factor receptor like HER2, as suggested by company materials—APB-B001 aims to achieve superior anti-tumor efficacy and specificity. The program is currently in the discovery stage.
