Overview

APB-B003 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody currently in the discovery stage of development by APITBIO for the treatment of solid cancers. It is designed to simultaneously target CD171 (also known as L1 cell adhesion molecule or L1CAM) and a second, currently undisclosed target. CD171 is a transmembrane glycoprotein often overexpressed in various aggressive solid tumors, including ovarian, pancreatic, and colorectal cancers, where it promotes cell migration, invasion, and chemoresistance. By utilizing a bispecific format, APB-B003 aims to enhance tumor specificity or provide synergistic anti-tumor activity compared to conventional monoclonal antibodies. The company's pipeline strategy includes exploring CD171 pairings with other oncology targets such as PD-L1 and HER2.
