Overview

APB-I-006 is an investigational therapeutic candidate being developed by Aprilbio for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The drug is engineered using Aprilbio's proprietary SAFA (Serum Albumin Fragment Associated) technology, which involves fusing a therapeutic protein or antibody fragment to an anti-serum albumin Fab fragment to significantly extend its half-life in the bloodstream. While the program is specifically targeted toward lupus, the sponsor has not yet disclosed the specific biological target or the exact modality of the therapeutic moiety. As of 2024, APB-I-006 is in the discovery stage of development.
