APCEDEN, also known as Immunogenic Dendritic Cell Therapy (IDCT), is a personalized autologous dendritic cell-based cancer vaccine developed by Immunocine. The therapy utilizes a patient's own dendritic cells, which are "double loaded" with patient-specific tumor antigens. This process involves internal loading with cancer-specific mRNA and external loading with proteins extracted directly from the patient's tumor tissue. This dual-loading mechanism is designed to simulate a viral infection, effectively training the immune system to recognize and target cancer cells throughout the body. The treatment is administered via ultrasound-guided injections near lymph nodes, typically in a series of three doses over six weeks. It is intended for the treatment of various solid tumors, including glioblastoma, melanoma, and prostate cancer, aiming to induce long-term immunological memory to prevent disease recurrence.
