Overview

APcK110 is a novel small molecule inhibitor of the Kit (c-Kit) tyrosine kinase, a receptor tyrosine kinase frequently dysregulated in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Developed by researchers at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, APcK110 exhibits potent antiproliferative and proapoptotic effects in AML cell lines and primary patient samples. Preclinical studies in xenograft mouse models have demonstrated that APcK110 treatment significantly extends survival by inhibiting leukemic cell growth. Its mechanism involves blocking the constitutive signaling of Kit, which is a key driver in a subset of AML cases, particularly those with specific mutations or overexpression of the receptor.
