Overview

APG-126 is a preclinical-stage standardized botanical drug candidate developed by Aveta Biomics for the treatment of Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) and Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Derived from the medicinal plant *Andrographis paniculata*, APG-126 is a multi-component therapeutic designed to modulate the tumor microenvironment and inhibit critical oncogenic signaling pathways. The drug's mechanism of action involves the suppression of Nuclear factor NF-kappa-B (NF-κB) and Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) signaling, which are frequently overactivated in aggressive and treatment-resistant tumors. By targeting these pathways, APG-126 aims to induce apoptosis and inhibit the proliferation, migration, and metastasis of cancer cells. As a botanical drug, it leverages the synergistic effects of multiple bioactive constituents, such as andrographolide, to achieve therapeutic efficacy with a favorable safety profile.
