Drug intelligence / Profile preview
APG-3526 is an investigational **small-molecule** anticancer agent developed by **Ascentage Pharma** that selectively inhibits **myeloid cell leukemia 1**. It binds MCL-1 with nanomolar potency and disrupts the **MCL-1:BIM** protein-protein interaction, thereby releasing pro-apoptotic BIM and triggering mitochondrial apoptosis in tumor cells. Preclinical data described potent activity in MCL-1-dependent hematologic malignancy models, particularly multiple myeloma, and the program has been positioned for development in hematologic cancers and selected solid tumors.
