Overview

APG808 is a novel, fully human monoclonal IgG1 antibody developed by Apogee Therapeutics for the treatment of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other inflammatory and immunological diseases. It specifically targets interleukin 4 receptor subunit alpha (IL-4Rα), thereby blocking both IL-4 and IL-13 mediated signaling pathways that are central to Type 2 inflammation. The drug is engineered with an extended half-life, enabling less frequent dosing—potentially every two months or longer—compared to current biweekly standards. In clinical studies, APG808 has demonstrated robust suppression of biomarkers associated with Type 2 inflammation (such as FeNO) and a favorable safety profile in patients with mild-to-moderate asthma[1][5][6][8][9][10].
