Overview

**APH-0804** is an Aphios preclinical anticancer nanosomal combination product designed for camptothecin-resistant cancers. It co-encapsulates a tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase 1 inhibitor, such as tetracycline, with a DNA topoisomerase I inhibitor, such as topotecan or irinotecan, in phospholipid nanosomes. The intended strategy is to inhibit Top1-mediated DNA processing while blocking Tdp1-mediated repair of Top1-DNA covalent complexes, potentially increasing tumor-cell sensitivity to camptothecin-class Top1 inhibitors.
