Drug intelligence / Profile preview
APH-1504 is an oral, extended-release nanoformulation of cannabidiol (CBD) being developed by Aphios Corporation for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). Utilizing the proprietary SFS-PNS™ nanotechnology platform, the drug encapsulates CBD within biodegradable polymer nanoparticles to enhance bioavailability, improve central nervous system (CNS) penetration, and provide sustained release. APH-1504 targets the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2 within the endocannabinoid system to address MS-related symptoms such as pain, inflammation, and spasticity, with the potential for disease-modifying effects.
