Apicort is an ophthalmic corticosteroid developed and marketed by Amman Pharmaceutical Industries. Its active ingredient is prednisolone acetate, a synthetic glucocorticoid receptor agonist. It is formulated as eye drops in two concentrations: 0.12% and 1% (Apicort Forte). The drug is indicated for the treatment of steroid-responsive inflammation and mild to moderate non-infectious allergic disorders affecting the eyelid, conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior segment of the eye. It provides relief for inflammatory ocular conditions such as conjunctivitis.
