Overview

This is a combination of three direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) that selectively inhibit factor Xa in the coagulation cascade. All three drugs prevent thrombus formation by inhibiting factor Xa and prothrombinase, thereby preventing the conversion of prothrombin into thrombin. These medications are used for preventing stroke in non-valvular atrial fibrillation and for treating and preventing venous thromboembolism.
