Overview

Apligraf is a bioengineered, bi-layered living skin substitute composed of human keratinocytes and fibroblasts within a Type I bovine collagen matrix. It is designed to treat chronic, non-healing wounds by providing a scaffold and living cells that secrete essential cytokines and growth factors to stimulate the patient's own healing process.
