Drug intelligence / Profile preview
APN-sEV (also known as CILO-101) is a bioengineered small extracellular vesicle (sEV) biotherapeutic developed by Ciloa. The candidate utilizes Ciloa's proprietary platform to incorporate recombinant multimerized native adiponectin onto the surface of sEVs, enabling the activation of the adiponectin receptor pathway. By targeting AdipoR1, AdipoR2, and T-cadherin, APN-sEV is designed to address a range of metabolic and inflammatory conditions, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), cardiovascular diseases, and retinopathies. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
