Overview

APN201 is a liposomal formulation of recombinant human Cu/Zn-superoxide dismutase (rhSOD) developed by Apeiron Biologics. It is designed to prevent radiation-induced dermatitis in women undergoing radiation therapy for breast cancer. The drug functions by scavenging superoxide, hydroxyl, and other oxygenated free radicals, thereby mitigating the cellular damage caused by radiation.
