Drug intelligence / Profile preview
APO2FOOT is a clinical-stage, cell-free biological medicinal product developed by Aposcience for the treatment of chronic diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). The program is based on APOSEC, which is the cell-free secretome of irradiated, stress-conditioned allogeneic peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC). Specifically, the APO2FOOT program utilizes the optimized final product formulation, APO-2F, delivered on an alginate fleece or hydrogel. APOSEC contains a complex mixture of cytokines, growth factors, lipids, and exosomes that act synergistically to promote angiogenesis, modulate the immune system, and enhance tissue repair, thereby accelerating wound healing.
